Selby Jennings has partnered with a global manufacturing leader that is actively hiring for a new Accounting Manager to report into their VP of Finance. Primary responsibilities include the recording and processing of revenue, cash receipts, tracking purchases, expenses, cash disbursements, and payroll.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leading, training, and growing the accounting staff to ensure optimal use of payroll and HR software capabilities
- Initiating, recording, and reconciling cash transaction activities
- Evaluating processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Overseeing the collection and recording of outstanding accounts receivables
- Researching open items on account receivable aging
- Performing period-end closing procedures
- Supporting audit requests for financial statements, benefit programs, and tax compliance as assigned
- Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of cash and the recording of revenues, costs, forecasts, and actual expenditures
- Reviewing the weekly and semi-monthly payroll registers for correct payees, hours worked, and check amounts
- Approving pricing and payment terms for incoming sales and service orders using prescribed guidelines
- Overseeing the Accounts Payable and expense reimbursement cycle
- Reconciling the statement of credit card deposits and service charges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ YOE in General Accounting
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills plus keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Value Added:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
