Job Overview:
My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Actuarial Supervisor to oversee their Personal Lines Pricing team. This individual will play a key role in shaping the pricing strategies for homeowners and auto insurance lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal lines pricing, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Personal Lines Pricing team for homeowners and auto lines, ensuring pricing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain pricing models and strategies, incorporating industry trends, competitor analysis, and company goals.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior actuaries and analysts, fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and review actuarial models, ensuring they reflect accurate assumptions and align with company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Underwriting, Claims, Product Development, etc.) to ensure pricing strategies support business needs and objectives.
- Manage and review actuarial reports, presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure competitive and compliant pricing strategies.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) designation required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in P&C actuarial work, with a focus on personal lines (homeowners and auto).
- At least 2 years of management experience in an actuarial setting, preferably within personal lines pricing.
- Strong experience with pricing models, tools, and techniques in the personal lines space.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python, etc.).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
