Title: Claims Representative
Location:Atlanta, GA
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handle policy conditions and settle coverage and liability issues for assigned claims
- Create reservation of rights letters, non waiver agreements, and coverage disclaimers
- Handle and investigate claim reserves to ensure that potential exposure is properly reflected
- Investigate claims and assess coverage and any legal issues, including speaking with insureds and witnesses, retrieving statements, records, and any other relevant evidence
- Ability to negotiate through mediation, arbitration, or legal-supervised settlements
- Must know regulatory and jurisdictional requirements
- Works with management of defense counsel, independent adjusters and other third parties to help assist with claims
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience with coverage review, claims investigations, administration and settlements
- Expertise in coverage, negligence, investigation and negotiation principles
- Adjusters License in FL, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA, PA
- Ability to communicate with cross functional teams, claimants and any other relevant parties
- Ability to travel to off-site locations or overnight from time to time
