We are partnered with a leading Commodities Risk Management Firm to hire for an experienced Database Administrator with expertise in SQL Server and Oracle databases, as well as a strong background in Azure architecture and database solutions. This role involves troubleshooting, performance optimization, and migration of databases, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues (SQL Server, Oracle) in collaboration with technical teams.
- Monitor and manage Oracle and SQL Server databases using appropriate tools.
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and MySQL on PaaS solutions.
- Migrate SQL Server databases from on-premises to Azure.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for database management and automation.
- Ensure database performance, security, and availability.
- Support database-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Oracle and SQL Server technologies.
- Strong understanding of Azure architecture and database solutions (Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, MySQL on PaaS).
- Proven experience migrating SQL Server databases to Azure.
- Proficient in Python scripting for database management.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in database support.
- Comprehensive understanding of Oracle and SQL Server database management.
- Experience with Azure architecture and cloud-based database solutions.
