Deal Origination Associate
A leading private equity firm is looking to bring on a Deal Origination Associate to their team. The firm was founded almost a decade ago by several individuals who spun off of an industry-leading asset manager with that competes with the top technology-focused investment firms in the space. They now have close to $1Bn in assets under management and have a proven track record of driving growth and delivering value through strategic investments and operational expertise. As they continue to expand the company, they are seeking a highly motivated and talented Deal Origination Associate to join their dynamic team to source for new investment opportunities.

Deal Origination Associate Responsibilities:
As a Deal Origination Associate, you will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating firms within the technology sector. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Market Research and Analysis: Conducting comprehensive research and analysis of technology industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify potential investment targets.
- Deal Sourcing: Proactively sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities through various channels, including industry conferences, networking events, online platforms, and partnerships.
- Relationship Building: Building and nurturing relationships with industry stakeholders, including executives, entrepreneurs, and industry experts, to establish a strong network and pipeline of investment opportunities.
- Cold Outreach: reaching out to potential acquisition targets and new companies in the space in order to promote growth
- Investment Strategy: Contributing to the development and execution of the firm's investment strategy by providing market insights and recommendations.
Deal Origination Associate Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a related field. Experience or interest in the technology sector a plus.
- Financial Acumen: Solid financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis. Experience with deal sourcing, due diligence, and investment execution is a plus.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
