Position Overview:
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Professional to lead their fundraising efforts targeting family offices across the EMEA region. This role is critical to expanding the investor base and driving the growth of assets under management, with a primary focus on fundraising for structured credit products, alongside other private credit offerings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising within private credit or alternative investments and a deep understanding of the family office landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting family offices across EMEA, with a primary emphasis on structured credit products, in addition to the firm's broader private credit offerings.
Investor Relationship Management: Build, manage, and deepen relationships with existing and prospective family office investors, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify and prioritize high-potential family offices, understanding their investment preferences, risk appetite, and decision-making processes.
Product Positioning: Effectively communicate the value proposition of structured credit and private credit strategies to potential investors, tailoring the messaging to resonate with the specific needs of family offices.
Deal Structuring: Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio managers and legal, to structure investment offerings that meet the needs of family office investors while aligning with the firm's strategic goals.
Networking and Events: Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and investor meetings across EMEA, enhancing the firm's visibility and reputation in the family office community.
Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on fundraising activities, investor interactions, and pipeline progress. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal compliance protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and investor relations teams to create compelling marketing materials and ensure a cohesive approach to fundraising.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development or fundraising within private credit, private equity, or alternative investments, with a strong focus on family offices in the EMEA region.
Network: Established network of relationships with family offices across EMEA, with a proven track record of raising capital, particularly for structured credit products.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of structured credit, private credit strategies, investment products, and the unique needs and preferences of family office investors.
Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with sophisticated investors.
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region as needed to meet with investors and attend events.
