Position Overview: The Head of Infrastructure will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires strategic thinking and a strong background in financial services and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the infrastructure team in designing and maintaining IT infrastructure.
- Develop and execute infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with departments for seamless integration of infrastructure solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the infrastructure team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's preferred.
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with 5+ years in leadership.
- Extensive experience with on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven track record in designing cost-effective, scalable, and secure infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, particularly hedge funds or investment management.
- Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of FinOps principles.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices architectures.
