We are currently representing an incredibly exciting discretionary global macro Hedge Fund Manager who seek to capture investment opportunities across liquid commodity, foreign exchange, fixed income and equity markets. They are looking to
add an Operations Specialist to their team in Vienna.
The Candidate:
- Must have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., IMC, CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- Will have 7-10 years of experience in operations, accounting, business, or risk development within a leading hedge fund, investment bank, or asset management firm.
- Must have advanced Excel/VBA skills, and basic understanding of SQL is helpful.
- Ideally will have experience in futures (e.g., cash equity and index options), and OTC cleared products. Experience in OTC FX is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
The Role:
- Develop a comprehensive control framework across all the business functions, including finance, operations, administration, investor relations, and brokerage relations, between the US and EU.
- Work closely with the firm's execution trader(s) to support daily trading activities.
- Manage daily trading operations, overseeing end-to-end processes from trade execution to settlement, with
- a focus on T+0 monitoring and T+1 reconciliations with clearing brokers and administrators, in Eur & Asia.
- Monitor equity and fixed income positions, including related events (e.g. corporate actions & cash flows).
- Assist in fund accounting and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Actively participate in treasury, cash, and risk management functions to optimize financial performance.
