An NYC-based private investment firm is looking to add a Vice President to the Portfolio Management group. The firm provides growth capital structured as debt to unsponsored, lower/middle-market companies across industries. The Portfolio Management team builds robust relationships portfolio companies utilizing a customized process to learn and monitor the intricacies of a business operations and key performance indicators, with the goal of maximization of return for the firms investment portfolio. The Vice President will be responsible for leading the Firms restructurings, evaluating and supervising liquidations, turnarounds, and restructurings. This individual will also manage monitoring and post-investment relationship with multiple portfolio companies from deal close to deal exit. This is an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial platform with a unique investment strategy.
Vice President candidates must have 10-15+ years of experience with either (or both) of the following backgrounds:
- Corporate restructuring, private credit, private equity, or special situations, specifically with hands-on experience in directly managing workouts, restructurings, turnarounds, and crises management with borrowers and company managers.
- Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Chief Operating Officer (COO) with (i) ideally a track-record of operating one or more private-equity backed companies in multiple industries, (ii) advanced familiarity with complex capital structures, (iii) experience negotiating complex commercial and credit agreements as well as managing lenders and investors in both healthy-state and crisis situations, (iii) ability to operate in a fast-moving environment, to rapidly absorb the fundamentals of new industries and business models, while managing multiple projects simultaneously, and (iv) ability to both manage small project teams and also directly impact as an individual contributor.
