What the Private Credit Fund Does
As a recognized leader in providing private markets solutions globally, the fund manages approximately $120.2 billion in discretionary assets and oversees an additional $782.9 billion in non-discretionary assets as of December 31, 2023.
The Opportunity
The Associate will evaluate credit-oriented investment opportunities through a direct credit model. The Direct Credit Team manages approximately $3 billion in discretionary capital, investing across a diverse range of geographies (domestic and international) and industry sectors.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing fundamental credit analysis and in-depth company-specific due diligence.
- Monitoring existing investments by analyzing and reporting on portfolio companies' financial results.
- Creating and assessing complex financial models.
- Preparing detailed credit memoranda.
- Presenting investment opportunities to senior executives of the firm.
- Supervising analysts on the team in the performance of their duties.
- Assisting in prospective and existing client meetings.
- Supporting legal documentation related to closing investments.
- Conducting industry research, articulating opinions, and writing clear, concise memoranda on investment opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant credit investment experience at an investment bank, BDC, high-yield or leveraged loan fund, or private credit manager.
- Strong credit background, with proficiency in all phases of capital structure analysis, including valuation analysis of leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, distressed securities, and private debt investments (Senior and Junior).
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to interact productively across multiple verticals within the organization.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated interest and commitment to private markets investing.
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work 50+ hours per week and travel 10%+ of the time.
