We are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Accountant to join a top P&C Reinsurance firm as part of their Reinsurance Accounting team. This role is crucial for managing and processing reinsurance accounts and ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile reinsurance transactions, ensuring they are accurately reflected and documented.
- Set up and manage invoices for reinsurance treaties, maintaining correct schedules and amounts.
- Oversee excess of loss and pro rata processes, including payments, tracking adjustments, and compliance.
- Address reporting gaps by collaborating with brokers and underwriters to obtain missing information.
- Implement reconciliation procedures to align system data with broker-provided information.
What you'll need to be successful…
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
- Experience in the P&C insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Strong excel skills
