Role: Financial Crime (Market Abuse) Officer

We are currently representing a leading brokerage in Amsterdam that is looking for a financial crime officer with a market abuse focus. The role itself comes with plenty of responsibility - you will be working within the financial crime team on business critical tasks.
The Candidate
- 3+ years of market abuse experience
- Knowledge of financial markets
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand complex matters, be proactive, and provide independent views
- Fluent in English, and any other language is a plus
The Role
- Detecting, investigating, escalating, and reporting suspicious orders and transactions that may constitute Market Abuse
- Improving the monitoring systems and investigations related to financial crime detection
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of the control framework for detecting financial crime
- Handling issues, inquiries, and information requests regarding suspicious trading activities and unusual transactions or behavior
- Overseeing and performing tasks aimed at preventing financial crime and ensuring company's compliance and protection from financial crime risks
- Reporting on identified financial crime risks, regulatory compliance, deficiencies, and the measures taken to address them
- Escalating any (potential) financial crime risks and fraud issues to the management team
