Job Description:
Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for a Team Lead - Compliance for their Asset Management division in Luxembourg. This role is essential in ensuring the business complies with Luxembourg's regulatory environment and global standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Lead the compliance team in understanding and implementing regulations applicable to asset management, with a focus on UCITS and AIFMD.
- Ensure compliance with CSSF regulations and ESMA guidelines, keeping the company ahead of regulatory changes.
Policy Development:
- Create and update compliance policies and procedures tailored to asset management needs.
- Work with senior management to integrate compliance strategies into business operations.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and guide a team of compliance professionals, ensuring they are trained and perform to the highest standards.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance and accountability within the organization.
Risk Management:
- Conduct risk assessments and monitor compliance programs to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Perform audits and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the main contact for regulatory authorities, internal stakeholders, and external auditors.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.
Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ICA, CAMS, CISI) is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 7 years of experience in compliance within the financial services industry, specifically asset management.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg regulations, including UCITS, AIFMD, and CSSF rules.
- Experience leading compliance teams, focusing on regulatory compliance (excluding investment restriction compliance and AML).
Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English is required. French or German is a plus.
