They are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with a dual focus on business and technology to support their Digital & IT team. This role is integral to their digital transformation efforts, contributing to the development and enhancement of the trading and risk IT portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong background in Commodities/Energy trading markets.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal Digital ant Tech teams and external parties to design new solutions and enhance existing ones.
- Autonomously gather and document requirements through workshops, storyboards, user stories, and other methods, ensuring thorough analysis and verification.
- Work closely with development teams within an agile DevOps framework to analyse, prototype, and deliver on requirements efficiently.
- Perform quality assurance testing on application changes and features, supporting business users in acceptance testing and necessary application training.
- Challenge existing processes and technology to improve functionality and efficiency, identify and address process or technology gaps and risks.
- Mentor team members to enhance their knowledge of processes and technology and manage relationships with third-party service providers to monitor and improve support quality.
Requirements:
- Must come from Commodities trading firm or Big 4 consultancy firm.
- Degree in STEM subjects or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business analyst in a financial or trading environment.
- 3+ years of experience working with an ETRM/CTRM solution; implementation and configuration.
- Mandatory knowledge of Commodities/Energy markets, especially Oil, Refined Products or Biofuels.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
