A top trading firm is seeking a Trade Support Engineer to join it's team in Chicago!
You'll thrive in this role if you:
Have experience deploying and supporting infrastructure that hosts applications on both Linux and Windows platforms.
Possess Linux administration experience and have worked with deployment tools such as Ansible.
Are proficient in Git/Github.
Have a solid understanding of network basics (routing and switching, multicast, DHCP, DNS, OSI).
Demonstrate scripting abilities (Python, Bash, etc.).
Excel in high-pressure situations, working alongside traders, developers, and other engineering teams.
Are tenacious in solving complex technical problems where others might give up.
Are passionate about high-quality work and relentlessly pursue continuous improvement.
Actively pursue personal and professional growth by learning new things.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and support trading systems on Linux servers.
Troubleshoot and identify issues with trading systems and their interaction with the Linux operating system and network communications.
Maintain the health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem.
Liaise with external trading partners, such as financial exchanges and clearing firms, to resolve technical issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders and other technical services teams to plan and deliver new trading technology and systems.
Respond to support requests from our traders and software engineers.
Advance our automation and monitoring practices specific to our needs.
Improve our support tools and processes.
