Overview:
Our client is a leading, independent global energy infrastructure firm, with over $20 billion in assets under management and a decades-long track record of successful investing. The firm has grown significantly and are looking to continue their growth as a leader in the investment management space providing capital solutions in both traditional and renewable energy sectors globally.
The firm is looking to bring on a Vice President to join their Capital Formation team to support this continued growth. Given the firm's reputation and their trajectory, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-growing team, playing a key role in the firm's continued success. There is a path for long-term growth within the firm, and you will regularly be working hand-in-hand with senior leadership of the firm to execute on strategic objectives.
Vice President of Capital Formation Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an investor-facing leader, engaging with both new and existing investors across Europe and beyond.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, ensuring strategic communication and presenting the firm's investment offerings.
- Contribute to capital raising efforts for the firm's various funds, co-investments, and customized investment vehicles. Engage in strategic discussions with the firm's leadership to drive capital development and investor outreach initiatives.
- Lead efforts to raise capital for the firm's funds, including strategies across co-investments, SMAs, direct lending, and other specialized vehicles.
- Work with internal teams to structure fundraising materials and assist in pitching to prospective investors.
- Willingness to travel frequently, meeting with investors globally. Manage investor meetings, conferences, and other events to maximize relationship-building and fundraising success.
- Work closely with internal teams, including senior leadership, to support the development of fundraising materials, investor presentations, and other related documents.
- Support in day-to-day functions while also handling independent responsibilities.
Vice President of Capital Formation Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in capital development, investor relations, or related fields
- Preferred experience in energy and/or infrastructure sectors
- Demonstrated ability to manage and cultivate investor relationships, ideally with a focus on European markets.
- Existing contacts and relationships are a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex investment opportunities to investors and internal stakeholders. Experience with fundraising materials and presentations is required.
- A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred
