Title: M&A Business Development Associate

Company Summary: We are working with a top tier Growth Equity backed Wealth Management firm that is looking to add a M&A Business Development Associate to their growing team. You will have the opportunity to identify potential acquisition targets, source & screen deals, support the Corporate Development function, and join a company with high acquisition goals. This role is fully remote.


The M&A Business Development Associate will be responsible for:

  • Pipeline Development: Create, enhance, and oversee a dynamic pipeline of potential acquisition and partnership targets. Actively source leads and pinpoint high-potential companies that align with our strategic goals.
  • Deal Sourcing & Screening: Proactively discover new opportunities through networking, research, cold calling, and direct outreach. Evaluate inbound acquisition leads, qualifying and prioritizing them based on strategic alignment and key performance metrics.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and sustain relationships with the corporate development team, target companies, and intermediaries. Build strong connections with potential acquisition and partnership targets, maintaining regular communication to keep opportunities progressing.
  • Pipeline Reporting & Tracking: Consistently update the pipeline status, including active opportunities, next steps, and potential obstacles. Utilize CRM systems and internal tracking tools to document progress, ensuring transparency within the corporate development team and leadership.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitors, and acquisition opportunities. Apply both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the attractiveness of potential targets.
  • Strategic Support: Work closely with the corporate development team to refine acquisition strategies, messaging, and communication.

The M&A Business Development Associate should have the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years of M&A Business Development, B2B enterprise sales, or D2C sales with a strong cold-call focus.
  • Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields.
  • Experience within Private Equity preferred, but not required.
