Role Overview:
The AVP of Commercial Lines plays a crucial role within the Technical Leadership team, overseeing and guiding the Commercial Lines Product and Underwriting teams. This position is responsible for leading the Commercial Lines division to ensure the company's profitable growth. Key responsibilities include fostering strong partnerships with agents to achieve ambitious growth targets and formulating the overall strategy for Commercial Lines. This strategy involves developing internal underwriting goals and processes aimed at maximizing profits and minimizing losses.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional expertise in a specialized field preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of Underwriting and/or Product experience in P&C Insurance.
- Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Commercial Lines and related coverages. Increasing experience in leadership roles at an executive level. Expertise in leading, coaching, and developing talent. Strong analytical and problem-solving focus. Results-driven leader who makes thoughtful decisions in an agile way. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience thinking strategically and implementing the strategy through sound tactics.
