I am currently working with a client seeking an experienced VP-level candidate who will be responsible for developing methodologies and managing analytics for various risk models, including stress testing, risk appetite, and credit rating models. This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the full life-cycle of model development, from design to implementation, and will lead risk modeling initiatives and project development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, implement, and document risk analytics models.
- Conduct quantitative research to enhance and update models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different teams during the model development process.
- Create tools and dashboards to improve risk analysis.
- Maintain and improve existing models.
- Identify and quantify risks not captured by current analytics, and develop strategies to manage these risks.
- Act as a subject matter expert in discussions with regulators.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field; PhD preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in quantitative modeling for credit risk (wholesale experience preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and experience in model development.
- Proficiency in statistical tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
