Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Flowood, MS. This position is 100% on-site and does not offer a remote or hybrid function. The ideal candidate will contribute to various pricing, trending, reserving, forecasting, and ad hoc projects for the Actuarial department. The role involves researching data sources, verifying data integrity, updating actuarial models, and preparing financial and enrollment reports.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in pricing, trending, reserving, and forecasting projects by gathering and analyzing data.
* Research various data sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
* Update and maintain actuarial models to support business decision-making.
* Prepare financial, enrollment, and ad hoc reports for internal use.
* Utilize actuarial software and databases such as SAS and SQL for data analysis.
Skills and Requirements for the Position:
* Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
* One SOA exam passed is strongly preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with databases, SAS, and SQL is preferred.
